CSRs

Your group’s Central Service Representative (CSR) serves as your link with the Central Service Office. As a part of the Board of Delegates that guides Central Service and elects its board, your group’s voice will be a part of the group conscience of NECS. And your CSR can bring news to your group on NECS’s services, financial status, events, etc. When you name a new CSR, be sure to let the office know the contact information. Simply use the online form, or print and mail the paper form, or just stop by the office.

NECS CSR MEETING INFORMATION

The next Northeast Central Service Rep meeting is listed above (click the flyer to enlarge). Arrive early for coffee and fellowship!

Bill W stated that “The Intergroup Association is the best insurance we can have that the life lines to the hundreds of thousands yet to come will never break or tangle. Let us always be generous. Let us always support the Intergroup.”

What is an Central Service Representative (CSR)?
As a CSR, you are the connection between the members of your group and Central Service. You have the opportunity to keep your group up-to-date with local information and to let them know about available service opportunities.

When there are issues affecting Central Service as a whole, you should discuss them with your group and get a group conscience. If members of your group have a suggestion or concern, you can discuss it with individual CSRs or suggest it as an Central Service agenda item.

We encourage each CSR/member group to arrange for an Alternate (Alt-CSR) to represent your group if you cannot make one of the meetings.

How Do I Become a CSR?
All A.A. groups that hold regularly scheduled meetings in Northeast Oklahoma and are listed in the meeting schedule (either print or electronic) are eligible to elect an Central Service Representative.

Most groups elect a CSR and an Alternate CSR (Alt-CSR) in July, to serve a two-year term. It is suggested that all representatives have one year or more continuous sobriety. CSRs may only represent one A.A. group at a time.

CSRs and Alt-CSRs start their term by attending the CSR orientation meeting. Additionally, CSRs and Alt-CSRs need to register their commitment on aaneok.org to ensure they receive important communications.

To register as a CSR, either call us at (918) 627-2224 or email us at necs@aaneok.org.

A.A. Meetings

The NECS service area has hundreds of meetings each week. Some are online and some are in person. Each meeting is different. Every meeting you attend will have people who uttered those words: “I can’t stop drinking.”  We suggest attending a variety of meetings while you are trying to decide if A.A. is for you.
